The Indian music dimension

Music from India and South Asia robably our most pervasive  and most ingrained influence, going back to the Duo days with sarod and tabla, then fretless guitar.

While there are more obvious pieces like "Garden of Eden" and "Five," other tunes reveal the influence as well: the major/minor linear shift and improvisational treatment in "Waltz,"   the improvisational approach in "Leo" -- and even "Seven," while on the oud, uses a tihai in the melody.
